Domain acct deleted, how can we retrieve the email without tape 1

Hello all-

One of my admins accidentally deleted one of our users from within active directory.. The domain user acct and email account are gone. I've read somewhere that you can still recover the mailbox content because it's not "truly deleted" but I can't remember where in Exchange 2003 to retrieve it from.

Anyone have any idea?

Any support would be greatly appreciated.

Create a new account without setting up email. Then go into Exchange System Manager and reconnect the mailbox. To tdo this look for the mailbox, it will be kind of grayed out. Right click it to reconnect.

There is another thread going on about doing Brick Level backups (backing up individual mailboxes). This is a perfect example of why that type of backup really is no longer needed.
