Hi,

I would be grateful if anyone could help me with the following:

Can I store zip files in an SQL server database?
And if so, how would I go about this?

Thanks

hi Harry,

You could do this but you would need to use a programming language like C or VB to do this. I wrote an app in VB & SS7 to store word docs into a db. You need to use blob (Binary Large Objects) code.

I out of the office at the moment, however if you look at this site you could get some sample code:
If you still can't get some sample let me know and I'll get them later.
Sorry to be a pain,

But I've looked on the "PlanetSourceCode" site and cant find the sample code.

I will be using VB to try and put the zip file into the SQL Server 7 database, but am still not sure how to do this.

I will be gratefull for any extra info that you can give me.

thanks again
I won't be able to get the code until 3/4 days time (i'm out of office). In the meantime I suggest you post you question in the VB forum.
