does /opt have to be on the root drive 2

when my E250 was setup /opt was configured on the root drive size of 2gb. Now it is to small can it be move or spaced add from another drive
 
You can either move it, or mount extra space in a directory underneath it.

could you tell me or point me to a place where i can see how this is done,
 
1. Make a new filesystem on a spare partitian using newfs (newfs -v /dev/rdsk/c0t1d2s0 for example)
2. mount the new filesystem (mount /dev/dsk/c0t1d2s0 /mnt )
3. cd /mnt
4. use ufsdump to backup /opt then restore to /mnt
5. verify all files are there
6. rm -r /opt (to remove old opt directory )
7. vi /etc/vfstab to point to the new filesystem
8. umount /mnt and mount the new filesystem on /opt
