Hi
I need to display some reports over the web and was wondering if my hosting company needed to have crystal installed on their server to display my reports or do I have to output them specially formatted??? I've used CR in an intranet situation before and had CR installed on my server and everything worked fine but now I have a third party host. If I need a host that supports CR can someone please suggest a few.
Thanks.
J.

I don't know of any, and you might want to mention what version of Crystal you're using.

An alternative might be to publish them in PDF or some such, just keep in mind the strict licensing issues.

Check out my demo pages on to see some publicly hosted web pages. That server has the CR8.0 Web Component Server installed, so can process reports for that version or earlier. These are live reports (the data is also on the server) but they wil also view reports with saved data.

Contact if your ISP cannot install the Cr web components. For example, if he is not using a windows based web server, you will not be able install the components to view those reports with drill down or export.

The other option is to export your reports to HTML or PDF and then FTP the reports to the web server. They won't have drill down, but will have all the data for viewing.
