Does anyone know if ccmclean.exe completely removes the client and all associated files? I want to be sure that the GUID is completely removed. This is to be a ghost image so I don't want duplicate ID's. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
- Install the Advanced Client on the source computer
- After installation, stop the SMS Agent Host service. At the command prompt, type: net stop ccmexec
- On the source computer, run the Ccmdelcert.exe tool from the Systems Management Server 2003 Toolkit 1. You can check the SMS downloads Web site for more information about availability of this tool. The tool deletes any certificates from a previous client. The SMS 2003 Toolkit 1 can also be found within the Utilities in this deployment kit
- Create the image of the image computer using your imaging software
- Restore the image on the destination computer
-hope this helps...

Mr. Poandl,
Thank you for responding to my post. After I ghost a pc it will have the client installed with the site listed. Will it generate a new guid after I add it to the Domain? Is the SMSCFG.ini file the "certificate"?
