does Blob field supports .gif image type in CR 9?

Hi all,

I have inserted a image type from a MSSQL database in my report. It works fine for .jpg and .png image but does not show a .gif image. I tried changing the extension but it still doesn't works. I am exporting this report to PDF format and then showing in a ASP page. Can anyone suggest where the problem is ...CR, Database, or the conversion to PDF ?
I am using CR version 9.

I searched through old posts and found that Crystal do have some problems with image type. Some posting say gif are not supported while some say jpg is also not supported. But can anybody exactly tell which are the supported type for CR 9. I can get jpg's and png's from DB but not gif's. Pls help
