Recently had this question posed to me but I can't for the life of me remember.

At&T had a home single line version of the merlin console available for a while. Does anyone remember what name it was marketed under?

Thanks

Rick

I was at the forefront of the Merlin family invasion and installed the first Merlin 1030 in Southern California. Most of the Homes in Beverly Hills started with the Merlin 206 or 410 after they were talked-out of their KTS by the business office. However, there was the AT&T Phone center store that served the consumer market that had alot of failed products that Mgmt eventually pawned-off on their employees at reduced rates. I remember the Merlin Fax machine that might be what your searching for. It was large like a console but basically was a merlin/fax hybrid. I believe it was a 1-line component. Touch Tone Tommy is the go to guy on this.

I do one better...I installed the 1st 206 Merlin CU without a feature cartridge in the SG valley.
The 1030/3070 didn't last that long....when the Merlin 2 came out they disappeared.
The General Purpose Adapter was the only Merlin accessory that gave us
Single line sets that I know of.

the 10/30 had a 10 station analog module & also an off=premise module from an hybrid set to an analog station which we used instead the GPA with all the merlins

Client said it was not part of the system and plugged directly into a modular home jack. I will keep looking.

Thanks for all the replies.

Paul (Dexman) gave us the model number above - 7101

Read all about it [link wedophones.com/.../pdf/overview_merlin_phone_sytems_v5.pdf]Here[/url]

There was a little 2X6 or so phone system that used unique phones that looked spirit/merlinish. I think it was the 2600 or something.

Hi TTT!

The 7101 link goes to a screen that says that the document is no longer on the server. I think that wedophones has a copy of John L. Shelton's document linked on their site. I have a paper copy, but, it would take a long time for me to type it out.

Showed the pictures to my client, whose response was "oh it wasn't marketed under the Merlin name it was marketed via the AT&T phone store to the residential market... So my search continues.

I am thinking it was their touchamatic series. There were some kind of cool looking speed dial phones called touch-a-matic; not sure about hypens in the name. Anyhow, I recall them having merlin handsets. Probably also came in colors other than black, including white, maroon, burnt orange, brown, to name a few. See if that names brings a hit.
