Is there a limit to the number of parameters that can be used in a single report?

you can have as many parameter as you want,
but this slows down the report generation since it has to build the query base on your parameters input

this is version dependent, in CR7 you could have up to 99, though it would start to bomb at about 40. CR 8 and above has no limit.

If you're adding in parameters, and you intelligently design the record selection formula to pass the conditions in SQL to the database, parameters will speed up a report, NOT slow it down...

I've had reports with over 20 parameters in them, and many of them had multiple values in each, and CR 8.5 had no problem with it.

How many do you need?

I think I will end up needing about 10-15 parameters. I am running CR 8.5. Based on your reply, it looks like I will be all set. I was afraid to put a ton of effort into building the report with all of the parameters only to find that it wouldn't work. I figured someone in this forum would know if there was a limit. )
