Hey, 4.0 has some great features, I am totally impressed with the new things in it. SSA rocks, and the new features are going to be great when the release works, and becomes stabl(wait, not going to be negative). When those features hit the street they are really going to be incredible, and we will all wonder what we ever did without them down the road.
Maybe the maint release will suprise me, and it will be something I would install, I really hope so. 3.2.55 is great, haven't used the latest release in 3.2 yet. I am sure 4 will get there, and I will like it as well.

What a complaints, there are no big drawbacks on 4.0, i bet most users/installers do not even have any problem using 4.0.5.
The only thing i struggled with is the divert of external calls from a group.
I solved it like this:
ICR - target = group
ICR - fallback extension = external number
Put the group manually in Out Of Service without a destination and the incoming call goes external.
The group still can have a manual night shift but the Out Of Service setting takes precedence above the night shift.

I trust your experience on 4.0 has been as you say, with only one work/run around.
I have however had numerous techs call me whom never have called me for help previously because they worked out their issues without my help. They figured I had probably run into, or heard of a solution for their specific issue. I have on the bench played with 4.0, and found some issues myself, as well as in the field.
Now on here I expect to only hear about issues, but not as many replies saying they also have the same issue, or similiar. Also, not with such main type features, and widely used things that should have been caught prior.
Just my experience, and opinion. I do respect yours though, and am glad for your sake it has not been as bad.
mabye the dutch locale is the best one
i even have a customer that is still on a trial version
he doesn't want to upgrade because he has no issues at all
so why upgrade a scn with a lot of phones when it is working alright
so i also have no complains about 4.0
