Hi - I know what it is in general, but can anyone tell me (or point me towards) more info about it?

thx,
arabella

what color is it ? tan or brown ? if it is tan it is an AGP slot (Advavced Graphics Port) for video cards , if it is brown it is an AMR (Audio Modem Riser)for packaging the analog I/O audio functions of modem circuitry together with a codec chip (which converts back and forth from analog to digital)

This could also be a CNR or communication network riser card. A CNR and AMR are not interchangable. For information on the CNR visit They manfacture a CNR that is compatable with most M/B except ASUS. The CNR card has the components mounted the same direction as a ISA card and the AMR has components mounted like the PCI card.

Hope this helps.
