Does anybody have the sip firmware file for the 5320 Ip phones?

HI,

I have around 50 5320 IP phones which I would like to re-use. I was wondering if I can use them with the asterisk / freepbx system but the phones that I have, apparently are missing the SIP firmware. Does anybody have the sip firmware file for the 5320 phones if it exists?

I don't have any 5320's, but think they may use the 5340 sip info. I have a couple of 5330's running sip for my google voice number.

I used the latest tftp from 7.1 and upgraded locally. When I first access the phones all they appeared to have was the quick setup, added the tftp to the sip side and another file downloaded and the full web pages are now there.

YMMV, but worth a try.

I had a lot of frustration getting just one 5320 working in SIP a while back and gave up after doing one.
I stick to using 5212 or 5312 handsets instead. Anyway.... From memory this is what I did:

You will need a 3300 controller up to grab SIP firmware, MCD 5 or above if I recall.
1/ Convert handset to SIP mode (hold down Star & 7 on boot)
2/ Establish the 5320 IP address and web browse to it (Press superkey key then line key 1).
3/ You will get on the web screen options to enter a language and tftp server IP address.
4/ Enter language = English and IP address of the controller in tftp field, save and reboot.
Process it seems will grab / install SIP firmware.
5/ After the phone reboots, web browse again to it. This time you should? be prompted to enter a username and password. Enter admin / admin.
6/ From here you can configure SIP parameters.
