Hi there,

I'm engineering a system and they want to add a sig server to an existing 11c. They do not have any VoIP sets but want h.323 trunking between the main site and this remote site. They have to many digital devices for a branch office and don't want VoIP yet. So if someone in the remote site dials a number at the main site, will that phone use a DSP on a media card at the remote site and then travel over the h.323 trunks to the main site to complete the call?

I'm just confused as to how they think they are going to use these h.323 trunks without ip phones.

Thanks

That's right. A TDM phone at remote site use a DSP on Media card to travel on IP trunk and then use a DSP on Media card main site to reach TDM phone.
