Hi All,

Simple question, Ive checked through the keyword search and no definate answer....so I'm asking the easy question to you all...

can you just execute the activeperl exe from inside windows? or do you have to be at the command prompt

i just want to do it correctly

thank you
ptt :)

ok i found it
on thread 219-372515 programmer "goboating" says just double click exe and do normal install.
cool.....

all the books i have say go to dos command line
i wonder why???

I think this might be old documentation. The latest version of ActiveState can be downloaded as a Microsoft Installer or the exe version. Either can be clicked on to install.

If you want to install further modules, you can use the PPM command, which can be activated via the DOS command line. This might be where the confusion has arisen.

For more details on installing additional modules see faq219-1687
