Does a fax over flow mailbox need to be initailized?

I have a bcm 400 that was damaged from water and had to be replaced. Everything was reprogrammed from scratch. we are using fax overflow for our faxes but they dont seem to be working. Do those overflow mailboxes have to be initialized, if so how? The default password does not work. I cant find in documentation anything that states this.

The fax mailbox needs to have a name recorded in the company name to initialize it. ALL but Gen Delivery mailboxes need to be initialized before they will take messages / Faxes.
