I know INTEL makes a network card that is able to share the IP address with another network card, but does 3COM make something like that?

I have a server that will need 2 NICS (for redundancy only). They need to have the same IP address between the 2 NICS. If one NIC fails... the other will kick in. Sorta like a master NIC... and a hot standby NIC.

Any ideas if 3COM provides this type of thing. I know INTEL does. It's called 'team/IP sharing' or something.

Mucho thnx. ---
Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try.

I have run intel's software to allow me to join an non intel nic to a team.
Go to intel.com and download
100pdisk.exe

Amoung other things it should install Intel ProSet(II).
