Dodgy Battery?

I just had this asked of me and was stumped other than to say "zap the PRAM and rebuild the desktop" but all to no avail.
Is the battery dying methinks? All input appreciated.

I confess I expect them to last 5 years in a mac that gets used, but it does seem likely. I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.

This is a known issue with OS 10.2.4 and the new dual G4 macs.

This should be fixed with the 10.2.5 update.

You need to buy a new clock battery and that will take care of your problems.
When the clock battery goes so does the system, all kinds of strange things will happen.
