Hey,

When I installed Apache2, I changed in httpd.conf the DocumentRoot to:

DocumentRoot "C:\WebServer\Apache Group\Apache2\htdocs"
ServerName 213.93.xxx.xx (my ip)

I started IE6.0 and typed localhost.... and the site was showed to my desktop.
But people from outisde couldn't see my site when they typed my ip in the adressbar.

So I changed DocumentRoot again in httpd.conf in:

"C:\WebServer\test\"

I pasted a html file in the new document directory, and deleted the files in the old documentroot...
I've typed my ip in the IEadressbar, but I got the error:

"The page you are looking for might have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable."

Conclusion:
In httpd.conf is the documentroot:
DocumentRoot "C:\WebServer\testbut when I typed my ip in the adressbar, IE6.0 shows the files in my old documentroot...(after I past a new html file in the old documentroot)
What can be wrong? I didn't see any other httpd.conf file...

Can anybody help me?

Did you restart Apache after editing httpd.conf?q ______________________________________________________________________

Hi mate,

Remove the trailing slash from the end of your document root.

About the outside access, do you have a firewall or is your ISP blocking port 80?

Hope this helps Wullie

Thx, the problem with the documentroot is fix, but the outside acces is still damaged.
I don't have any firewall. The only firewall on the netwrok is installed on a cliënt pc...
Servername:
"ServerName ip"

Thx

Yes, and suddenly they can see my site, too :)
