DocumentRoot linking

I'm not sure where to post this so I hope this is close enough. Here is the deal:

I have 2 sites to run on a (so I'm told) Sun/Unix/Netscape server:

http://www.domain.com/

and

http://www.domain.com/area/

How can I link

http://www.domain.com/area/

to a different DocumentRoot than

http://www.domain.com

so I can call /images/ and /ssi/ and whatnot?

What web server are you running? Netscape or Apache?

If its Apache, I can help you, but I've never used Netscape before. I'm a little confused as to what your asking exactly? Do you want all users who visit

http://www.domain.com

to be automatically redirected to

http://www.domain.com/area?

As far as I know, it's a Netscape server.

I want

http://www.domain.com/area/

to have it's own DocumentRoot. So if something calls /images/dot.gif, it will call it from

http://www.domain.com/area/images/dot.gif

and not

http://www.domain.com/images/dot.gif
