In what particular scenario - a web based document? AFAIK it is not possible in this scenario as a local copy of the document is cached on the user's machine. I believe it is possible to keep the form data server-side, so that the client-side pdf does not actually contain anything when opened from the cache, but this is not an area I'm familiar with I'm afraid.

Sorry should have been a bit clearer. We are creating a CD which contains software and several forms required by our users on a regular basis. These forms are held in pdf format.
Both the software and the forms are liable to change so the CD will expire after a certain time period. However we wish to prevent users saving the pdf forms to their hard drive for later use, therfore users will always have to use the latest modified form. SO......
..................Is it possible to prevent a pdf form being saved to the hard drive of a users PC?
Adobe has a set of server products targeted at the Fortune 100 companies that do exactly this. One is Live Cycle Server. Another is Policy Server. What you are trying to do may require both of them.
They allow you to set user permission rights, and expiration dates on the pdf file. Each time the file is opened, the file "phones home" to the server to see if both the user and the file are still valid. If either case is no - the file will not load.
They also allow a "check-out" time. The file or cd will work for X days without contacting the server for authentication. If they try to use the file after that time frame (without a connection to the server) the file will not load.
Very Cool features - that are out of reach for most of us!!
