Hi,

Form 1 -> Employees details
Form 2 ->Area offices name with HR Head
How to give the security by document wise ?
We have 5 branches across India. Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Baroda, Chennai. Now Each HR head in that region should be able to edit the respective branch employee details and but can see all the employees.

Thanks in Advance.

You must use Reader and Author fields to create document-level security.

Check out this FAQ to understand how they work : faq73-5664.

The above FAQ was very informative.
But being a fresher, but how to add the names of the user dynamically to the author's & reader's field.

thanks
Suguna

What do you mean by "dynamically" ? Either you have a formula to do it, or you allow the user to do it in name fields.

If you have a formula, you will have to choose the criteria on which to base it (meaning checking the fields that contain the data allowing you to decide who goes where).

Without more specific details, it's a bit difficult to give a precise answer.

Does this answer your question ?

Pascal.
