just wondering if you have to buy client license software to get the remote VPN IP phone to work with the NetGear FVS338 router like the AVAYA SG ROUTER?
It depends on the release. 4.0 will work for 180 days. 4.1 you will need a license. I have been told the 180 days on 4.0 really never expires but i am unsure of that.
are you talking about a ip softphone or the vpn firmware for the ip phone? If the softphone then yes you will need a phone manager pro license and a softphone license. If you want to use a hard ip phone remotely, then just get another fvs338, configure a vpn gateway between the 2 routers, and program the ip route of the remote sites subnet into manager...
There are a whole bunch of them that are supported. we use mostly Juniper but i have them working with Cisco, Junpier, Watchguard, Kentrox and sonic wall.

We haven't been successful getting a WatchGuard x750e running 10.1 Fireware Pro to work. We keep getting no response errors on the IKE Phase 1. Could I contact you about how you are getting the VPN Phones to work on WatchGuard?
Fonedoc,
I have no idea how it is working. My customer got them running on their own. All i did was help get the software on the phones. he went and did the rest of it.
