Do you charge back to other depts

With the cost of the CommVault license for disk space expensive, do you chargeback to the departments to try and recoup some of this cost? And if so, which report do you run to do this and do you run it daily, monthly, quarterly, yearly?

we dont charge other departments instead the IT department takes the full cost of backup.

There is a addon for Commvault called CommNet that allows you to do cost analysis and billable entities havent used this myself.

We dont charge to the departments that we backup. Its all included in our IT budget. But I guess if you wanted to charge them, you could base it on number of licenses used, or number of user accounts. Not sure if I have ever heard of any Company's IT department charging other departments for Backup solutions whether it be for data protection or data restores.
