I have a few keycodes that are sealed and unused in original packaging. I Purchased online a coulpe of months back for a BCM400 4.0 I am looking to put into service. My question is will they expire if I don't use them right away? NTKC0001, 0082, 0045, 0046. And will they work on both BCM 400 and/or BCM 50 as well? Thanking everyone in advance for any helpful info.

I've had keycodes on a shelf for 1yr without any problems.

I have bought Keycodes that where 3 years old and they worked OK.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Just make sure when you buy it from the web that they can also activate it. Otherwise you might be paying twice for that code. Unless you have KRS access.

I guess where all using the wrong Terminology.

Auth Codes are what you buy in the sealed bags.

Keycodes are what you get from the KRS Access when you give it the System ID and the Auth Code and you specify if it a BCM 1000, 200, 400 or a 50 to get the correct type of KeyCode.

Thanks Ace for bringing some clarity to my question.

Glad I could help.

One way to check is to open the package and try the authorization number at Nortel's KRS. You can enter the auth number and it will tell you if it's valid. Just don't generate the keycode.. Once that is done, the auth code becomes invalid.
