Hello,

Do 150e analog trunks support caller ID? I know that caller ID is support on ISDN trunks and is displayed on the caller list on the set.

However as far as I can tell it is not supported on anallog trunks. If so are there third party solutions or workarounds?

Thanks

This isnt suported on alog trunks - even if you get BT to turn on the incoming CLI, the system will display an alphatag or Line number. LIke you say, ISDN will allow this.

Not too sure, but (in the US) with the use of an "ANI" card you can get caller number (but not name).

Darveesh.

Thanks for the tip. If anyone can confirm this that would be great. Even better would be a part number.

There is a ANI card available for the European version as well. The description and part number is:-

ANI4 Module for 4 Trunk Loops
p/n: S30807-H6917-A103

It was introduced for HiPath 3000 version 3 and above and used for the TLA4 module. I am not sure if it will work for the older version Hicom 150E.

Thanks DtephenAruiraj.

Do you think it would work in the US?

If so maybe I can find one on Ebay cheap and just try it.

Hi ISDNman

Yes.. there is a US version with the part number: S30807-H6917-A103 with the description: 3X50 ANI4 Analog Caller ID Kit I/F (ANI to TMGL4 card with Ribbon Cable). If you need one, you can get it at . They can supply both the American and European or International version. By the way, where are you located?

BlackChinese,

Thanks for the info and the link. I have contacted them from more information.

This particular project is for my home, so cost is an issue. I have a 150e Office Com. But my wife won't live without caller ID and putting 2 lines caller ID boxes next to every phone is not a clean solution.

I have a few other options and may very well go with a KSU-less multiline option.

But in the meanwhile this project is serving to increase my HiCom experience level so it is still worthwhile.

I am in CLeveland, OH USA.

thanks again
