Hi all,

I need to set a new DDP2 card with 2 new DCHs in a Nortel OPC81. But i have a question and i really appreciate your help on this:

- How can i know the DNUMs available to set in my DDP2 card?, my understanding is that i need to check the TTY ports and the DNUMs already assigned to my current DCHs. and select any unused in the TTYs or DCHs, is this correct or i need to check in other configuration to find available DNUMs?

- and the other question is, how many ports can i use per DNUM? i will use a daughter board

Thank you very much.

You will need to print out your ADAN info to see the used DNUMS. Each daughter board will require 1 DNUM and that will give you 2 devices. Better off to use MSDL cards and cables if possible. Because 1 MSDL card will give you 4 ports as opposed to 2 with the daughter board.

I will be working on that. Thanks KCFLHRC :)

I found the DNUM 3 is available :)
But now i need to set the DIP Switches for the DDP2 card: NTZC72AA. and I am wondering if you have the documentation to set them. yoru help is really appreciate :)

Thanks in advance.

I think that part # may be the whole package. What is the part number on the card? NT5D12XX ??

that's Correct the card number is NT5D12AHE5.

I need to set it up with QSIG so i guess the option i have to set in the route and the DCH is ISGF right?

and the last question is if i have to provide the clock what i need to do? i think i have to set it as NET instead USR right?

Thank you very much for all your support :)

Correct to everything you said. The DUUM is set on the DDP card as well as in software. You only need one clock reference in the switch and you probably already have that.NET and USR is not the clock reference but it does need set to one or the other.
