DNS setup???

Hi all! Thanks in advance.
I am currently running two Windows 2003 servers as domain controllers, DNS, WINS, and DHCP. My goal is to setup as much redundancy as possible. I am still confused on setting up DNS.

I have set both DC's to be Global Catalog servers.
(we only have one network with one internal domain)
Let's say it is fly.local
DC1 = 10.10.10.1
DC2 = 10.10.10.11

How do I set up the NIC's?
For DC1 do I use DC2's IP address (10.10.10.11) in the Alternate DNS server field?
and
for DC2, do I use DC1's IP address (10.10.10.1) in the alternate DNS server field

Do I also add each of the IP addresses under the Advanced, WINS tab while I am at it?

First note that only one DHCP server per subnet is allowed. Multiple DHCP servers will cause ip conflicts and other issues.

Second when installing Active Directory on DC2 add it as an additional Domain Controller to an existing domain to avoid problems in that area. You will also have to go to the Properties of the Primary DNS and allow replication

When installing DNS on DC1 set it as the Primary DNS and set up DC2 as your secondary. Usually your first Domain controller is your primary DNS server as at least one DNS server is required for Active Directory. Your second DNS Server will be your Secondary DNS entry

So If DC-1 has an IP of 10.10.10.1
and DC-2 has an IP of 10.10.10.11

In your TCP/IP properties of your NICs on both servers would be:
Primary 10.10.10.1
Secondary 10.10.10.11

You can also on DC-1 use 127.0.0.1 as the primary and on the secondary DNS server use 127.0.0.1 as the secondary. (Windows may automatically change this). 127.0.0.1 is the loop back and points the local host no matter the os or ip static or DHCP
