DNS Servers in E2K

We are running W2K E2K, and email is sent from the Exchange server, through a Mailsweeper server, and to the outside world. Could somebody please tell me if the external dns servers I configured withing E2K get used, or does Mailsweeper determine which dns servers get used?

once the mail is sent to Mailsweeper, that server is in charge. but you should still be setting the DNS config there anyway...

well, for ANY 2K server you should be setting up DNS correctly. However, if you're using the Mailsweeper server as a smart host, then DNS on the 2K server does not come into play when sending mail...
