hi everybody;

I had to migrate all my ip addresses to a new scope from 10.x.x.x to 172.x.x.x, along this migration i changed my Active Director and DNS Server, but i have a problem, when i tried to do a ipconfig/registerdns i got a Error message
RPC is unavailable, i tried a lot of ways finding in google and microsoft homepages, but still this moment i can't find a solution, the weird in this case is if i do a nslookup from a client the server resolve the name, but if i try to do the same action on the server i got the message Server Unknow.

Well, thanks in advance for your advices.

Are you sure you changed all adresses to the new ones? Along with the standart A, CNAME, MX, PTR records it is essential for the work of Active Directory that you also change the SRV records. And to be absolutely sure that you've changed every old IP address to the new one you could also look up in the registry for all entries starting with, say, 172. and change them appropriately.
