I have a PC connected to the network that will not get onto a particular site on the internet. It can get onto everything else fine but always times out on this site and then comes up with the error message. I've taken off a load of downloaded banners and free programmes as the person using this seems to be a download freak. Could it be something that they have downloaded that has changed a setting somewhere? The TCP/IP properties are exactly the same as all the other PC's

Check the hosts file located on their computer to see if it has been edited its in windir\system32\drives\etc

Also try running a spyware program such as spybot you can get it here

I also had this problem and did the host and spyware thing to no avail. I finally called my ISP who had me run the following commands: (I run XP so the commands may differ from the O/S that you're using)

Start--run--type in cmd, enter.
type in "prompt c:\" without the ""
At the C:\ Type in ipconfig /dnsflush - press enter
at the c:\ Type in ipconfig /registerdns - press enter
at the c:\ type in netsh int ip reset c:\resetlog.txt - press enter
Reboot computer

This resets TCP/IP in windowsXP and fixed my problem.

Here's the support site from Microsoft:
