Hi All,

I need to put one entry into DNS for a host in a zone i'm not authorative for. This is easy in a HOSTS file, just put in an entry like '1.1.1.1 example.host.com'...but I don't want to put a hosts file on every PC. I can't create another zone in my DNS for that domain and put the record in there, because I don't want to affect ALL that zone's hosts, just this one.

It's sorta like me wanting to just have 'mail.yahoo.com' point to another funky IP, but all other yahoo.com hosts go to their regular place.

Any suggestions? I'm using Win2k3 SP2 for DNS, AD-integrated.

Thanks!
JM
