Ok i moved to another dedicated server and i thought i had setup the nameserver ok but i have been waiting and waiting and the DNS is not sending traffic to my site aquariusinc.com for my current IP. When i went to dnsreport.com the DNS Fails for stealth nameserver, but the one listed is no longer in use. I have waited a few weeks now and nothing is changing. I have Ensim, what changes do i need to make. Best Regards

Your active name servers, server1 and ns2 still have ns1 listed as a name server in thier zone files. You need to remove this.

Otherwise, both name servers show the following;

dig @server1.aquariusinc.com

;; ANSWER SECTION:
86400 IN A 66.135.46.179

dig @ns2.aquariusinc.com

;; ANSWER SECTION:
86400 IN A 66.135.46.179

Is this correct?

Chris.

Thanks ChrisAC, that information you gave was correct but the strange thing is that i removed the ns1 entry in godaddy i do not know why it still showing up.

You may have removed it as a delegated name server but your zone files still contain it as an NS entry. Your delegation info is correct:

Domain servers in listed order:
SERVER1.AQUARIUSINC.COM
NS2.AQUARIUSINC.COM

But if I ask one of those servers for a list of name servers for the zone I get:

dig aquariusinc.com ns @SERVER1.AQUARIUSINC.COM

;; ANSWER SECTION:
aquariusinc.com. 86400 IN NS server1.aquariusinc.com.
aquariusinc.com. 86400 IN NS ns1.aquariusinc.com.
aquariusinc.com. 86400 IN NS ns2.aquariusinc.com.

dig aquariusinc.com ns @NS2.AQUARIUSINC.COM

;; ANSWER SECTION:
aquariusinc.com. 86400 IN NS ns1.aquariusinc.com.
aquariusinc.com. 86400 IN NS ns2.aquariusinc.com.
aquariusinc.com. 86400 IN NS server1.aquariusinc.com

So your name servers are basically saying, you can also get information about this domain from ns1.aquariusinc.com, which of course, you are no longer using.

You need to remove this from your zone file.

Chris.
