Hi,

I need to add an A register in a zone on my local DNS servers. The zone is resolved by a DNS forwarder on an external server. I can't add the A register in the external DNS server because it only has to be resolved internally.
My local DNS Servers are Windows 2008. I can't create the zone in the local DNS Servers because forwarders exists.

Do you know any solutions? I don't want to create the A register in hosts file of all PCs and I can't mantain the DNS zone in my local DNS servers.

Thanks.

Raúl

What flavor is the external DNS server? Typically one can solve this with Split Horizon DNS such that the external has a different "view" of the internal. I don't believe
windows DNS has split horizon, however.
