I'm not sure I'm putting this in the right place but I'll put this out there.
I'll start by saying I work for a retail company with seventeen stores in five states. I am the human resources manager but IT also falls in my job description.
We had a website developer design a new website. The go live date was September 1st. Due to some last minute changes is got delayed for the launch.
I signed up with a recommended company called Hostmonster to host our website We were with Hostwithclarity already on our old site. So I contacted our registrar and they walked me through the process of pointing our DNS to the new host.
Hostmonster recommended EZSitemove for data migration which I figured would work smashingly considering I'd never done it before.
Tuesday morning we switched the DNS. I had set up all of our email accounts with our new host. We do not use an exchange server. The website was launched and everything appeared to be going okay but we weren't receiving email. I was told this was because the site was still propogating.
So Wednesday morning, I logged into our intranet and got an error saying our account had been suspended. I contacted Hostmonster and was told there was an error in a script on our website and it was crashing their server. They suspended our account, told us we had one chance to fix and if not our account would be deleted. I contacted our site administrator and he made a fix and we relaunched but were told it caused the server to crash again so our account was deleted. I asked for access to our files and they refused.
So through our website administrator, we signed up with a new host Media Temple. I set up all the email accounts in Plesk. I had a backup disk of all of our files but have never used FTP before so I contacted EZsitemove and they still had the files so they started loading everything on Friday.
My question is: our website was working but now you can only go to the homepage You cannot view any of the other pages. Secondly, our intranet will not load.
How do I fix this?
