DNS Fails on certain site

Hi my DNS fail to access certain site like yahoo,hotmail and sometime google.

Sometimes every site working fine but sometimes cannot.I have few domain inside working fine.

My DNS runing on Linux 8.0. I even try to restart my dns server but still cannot.

Please advice... thanks in advance

what type of firewall are you using.?

I'll relate something that happens on the pix

the pix has a statement dns fixup maximum-length 512 that messess up when going to some places especially the big boys. In another newgroup I read that had something to do with akamai sending udp dns back that was a large as 4096 which the pix did not want to handle because of that setting. So.. I am not sure this is what you need but if it was a pix that's where I would look dns inspection maximum length.
