Hello,

I have some trouble with my DNS and I run dnslint.exe
and I find this message:

CNAME records for forest GUIDs not found:
GUID: 314dbf5f-f43b-4fa3-9fae-95e10121b9f8._msdcs.xxxxx.com DC: ABC

It told me to install the GUI manually.
I don't know How.
Thanks

In DNS manager, under Forward Lookup Zones, there should be a zone with your Domain name as the title. Under that, there should be a folder called _msdcs. Right click on that and choose New Alias. Under the Alias name, enter the series of numbers that the message above gave you. Then, under the fully qualified name section, browse to your Domain Controller and enter it there.

Thanks,

But the problem is I don't have the folder called _msdcs or _sites or anything.
I try to reinstall the dns but again it didn't create the folders.
So what I have to do??

I would like to know How can I recreat the folder
_msdcs, _sites in my DNS.

right click your domain name under the Forward lookup zone and choose New Domain...
