I created a new script that collects values from the customer ie press 1 for and press 2 for.

I am using dnis to point the call to the script, for example something like this (cant remember the exact programming)

IF DNIS = then EXECUTE SCRIPT test

My question is what number goes into the DNIS variable is it the full dialled number from the customer or the last 4 digits that are presented to the Nortel Switch from the external exchange or is it the converted number from the IDC table.

Another question is it the DNIS that I should be looking at for is it the CLID?

Thanks in advance

Depending on what you are being sent, DNIS is usually the last 4 or 5 digits, but, it is not always the case. DNIS does not have to match the CLID, especially when you have 800 numbers coming in.

DNIS is related to what the person dialed and not where they are dialing from.
