DND on Busy

Hey everybody, I want to say thanks for all of the help you have given me in the past. Here is my question. Customer has a M7324 at the receptionist desk. When she is on the phone, other people in the office try to call her on an T7316. The M7324 phone rings, but she is on another call. The calling T7316 reads “on another line”. The problem is that the people in the office don’t always look at their phones display screen. So then they go to her desk and ask where she has been or why she didn’t answer the phone… So I turned DND on Busy on the M7324. It worked fine when she was on the phone and a person in the office tried to call her, they got a busy signal and the phone read “FRNTDSK Busy”. But when she is on an interoffice call and an outside line calls in, the M7324 does not ring, it just flashes the line. Is there a way to have the outside lines ring on the M7324 all the time and have the interoffice calls have the DND Busy? I thought about forwarding to voice mail but I don’t think she would like that. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

yes, perrypj i agree with you. i should tell you that it is a lawyers office, sometimes lawyers can't be bothered with details, such as looking at their display...

i was curious if there was a way to do that to help that poor receptionist.

What about just giving her a DND button then she could just use it when she needs to.

on the 7316 progam a internal autodial for operators extension. Tell the lawyers they can press button to ring operator and when on a call they will see her light lit and know shes on a call.
