I have two operators using 4621 phones answering the same incoming trunk group. I'd like to set up a hunt group, to distribute the calls between the two of them. Problem is, when the phones goes DND, calls still ring to it. Is there a way around this?

Use night service on the hunt group form. Assign a night service button on the operator's phone so they can turn it on and off.

Not to be rude, but I don't see how that would do anything for me. I am trying to emulate the behavior of attendant consoles. We aren't running any digital stations at this site, only IP, so attendant consoles are not currently an option.

Assign a hunt-ns button to one of the ip phones.

I just really don't understand what you are trying to do here.

You said when DND is activated, calls still ring to the phones. Night Service on the Hunt group would address that.

Please clarify for me.

Assigning a hunt-ns buttton redirects the entire hunt group. I want each of the two operators to "log" in and out of taking calls, just like an operator console would do.

JeremyParr,

assign these extensions an 'aux-work' button and have operators press it when they're gone.

p.s. ip softconsole works just like ordinary digital console but doesn't require a digital port. we tried it with 4610 type phones (in telecommuter mode), works like a charm. it can also work in roadwarrior mode if you like.
