Are the external phonebook-entries based on licenses? If I have 500 internal names and 500 external names - Do I need then 500 or 1000 DMG-Licenses?

From my memory the external database is unlicensed, you can have as many entries as you like.

i think you are wrong there and you will find that the directory manager license FAL104245R6 'enables creating subscriber information (internal or external directories), in bundles of 500 subscribers'

I think slash/50 is right : DMG licences do not apply for external database
