I am trying to forward a SCR DN from the users Nortel set to a CDP (this is used to route to third party via QSIG). It does not work forwarding to the CDP. I can forward to the outside and use the DID of the CDP but would rather not do it that way. Am i missing something?

Does not work" isn't much to go on. Where does the process fail? - now that would be helpful.

It fails when xfering to the CDP number. However i can call the CDP number from any station and get there. I just cannot transfer a internal DN to it.
Does that help?

I don't think there is any point are you transferring to the CDP number - you are either Call Forwarding to it, or dialing it directly - or dialing the CFW'd DN directly.

What I'm asking is: When you press the CFW button and enter the CDP number - does it "take" - will it store the number and stick on CFW Activate.

My gut feel is this:

Yes, when the user call forwards from their station it does take it on the set.
Its when i call that user that has forwarded their number to the CDP is when it fails...silence.

Ah, "silence" - in that case, I'd run a LD 80 TRAC/TRAK on your DN while you are dialing the Call Forwarded DN from your phone. In other words, Trace your phone as you hear the silence. That might reveal something.

If you don't know all the TRAC commands, look in the books under LD80

You want either TRAC or TRAK depending on your system version.

Like so:

LD 80
TRAK 0 1234 DEV

Hey thanks so much, i tried this and no go.
I tried every trace command and have no problem tracing station before it is call forwarded to the CDP number.
However as soon as i call forward the station to the CDP number..it does not see any activity.
I will work on getting some screen shots to paste the trunk configs.
I can forward this station to any other station, just not the CDP, which is set up as a DSC.

That makes total sense. Now try it the way I wrote in my reply:

In other words, Trace your phone as you hear the silence. That might reveal something.

Trace YOUR phone as you call the Forwarded DN.

The Forwarded phone will never show activity - after all, its forwarded.

The goal is to identity what state the system is in, when callers hear that silence

I would use a Phantom DN rather than a CDP to see if that works for you, have that Phantom DN the same but you'll need to take out the CDP (SteeringCode) first to avoid conflict

FTR DCFW (Dedicated Forward) to the destination number you want it to go, probably in your case the AccessCode of the QSIG link which I'm assuming will be 4 digits

FTR DCFW 4 XXXX

Cheers!!
