DN Renumbering on BCM4 and BCM50 to come!

Today i've received this eMail from Nortel:

Dear Stefan BXXXXX,

This email is to notify you of a change in status of the Request that you submitted on Jun 13 2006 regarding Business Communications Manager. The first 500 characters of the Request were: 'The DN renumber wizard has been removed in release 4.0 of BCM. This was one of the best time-saving features BCM had. It should be re-integrated!'.

The request is currently on a development schedule for inclusion in a planned software or hardware release.

The reason for the status change was specified as follows: This is an excellent suggestion. DN renumbering wizard has been considered by the BCM team. In Q3'07 we plan to introduce a flexible DN change feature which will address your concerns. We are also evaluating other enhancements to decrease BCM installation and configuration time

Had to do DN renumbering for a new site w/ over 50 sets and it took for EVER to complete. The template wizard would also be a good one to add back.

I love Nortel Systems, but they do have a tendency to go backwards sometimes. They keep reinventing the wheel.

I just installed a BCM 50. It would not take the second set of key codes. I did a factory reset on the switch and it asked for starting Ext. number and if it was DID or PBX.
