Hey All,

Quick question. I have a MICS 6.1 w/ Call Pilot 150 2.1. System currently at three digit extensions. If I change the switch to four digit extensions to allow for new incoming PRI, will the Call Pilot need to be dumped and re-initialized in order for it to see the new DN range? Also, if I need to re-start, will my keycodes still be valid??

Thanks in advance.

yes reinstall and keycodes will stay intact

but good to backup first

Thanks senk1s,

I am assumming that is the end of my programming, correct??

I believe you will need to reconfig the CallPilot. Not sure about the keycodes after you reconfig. Out of curiousity, are you going to 4 digits on your DN's just to match your incomming DNIS digits?

yes reprogram everything

why not change just the recd # and keep the extn and mbox the same

Xetatech, yes that is correct.

senk1s, the mailbox and ext number are currently three digit, as are the system DN's. I wanted the sys DN's to match the Vmail and the customer wants the DNIS to match the intercom DN.

Telco can send 3 digits and you won't have to re program everything.

just make sure its not with a leading zero

6 months until ski season starts...sadly i must resign myself to the warmer weather"this will include a normal 8-5 work day, 5 days a week"

Thanks guys. I know the 3 digit received thing, was just looking at other options.

Just because you are going to be receiving digits through
your PRI,whether they are 3 or 4 digits being sent, the KSU
& voicemail can stay as three digit extention number.

Just use the last three digits of each DID as your ext #'s
and you won't have to reinstall the voicemail.

Ideally if your extentions have a direct DID to it, you should
make them the same as the last 4 digits, but it is not a necessity. You can change the number of receiving digits without changing the DN length.
