For internal reasons, the current voicemail extension needs to be changed. I created a new dummy acd that points to the existing voicemail number so I can migrate the sets over time and then change the actual CDN.

When I call the new acdn, CallPilot picks up and asks for mailbox and password. However, I can't get a test DN to roll to voicemail. I changed the fdn, hunt and mwk... I can't think of anything else to change...

Thanks!

Maybe if you told use why you need to change the Vmail DN, we could come up with a work around.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Ok, thought I'd spare everyone the non-sense, but here it is if it will help.

The current vmail extension is 8000. We are rolling out a private network to all sites. We have decided to standardize on '8' to access the private network company wide. My understanding is that I can't set AC2 to '8' without moving CallPilot to a number that does not start with 8.

I added a SDN in callpilot.

GHTROUT

I changed mwc to yes but the result is the same. Keeps ringing. I think I must have something incorrect as well.

Build 6000 as a CDN with with it's own default ACD DN. Set the NCFW on this ACD to 8000. And test.

It's working... sort of!

I'm working this system remotely. I just realized that calls are in fact rolling to voicemail if I call the test extension from another local extension. I was previously testing by calling over our private network. Could this be a network redirect restriction?

Is it possible there is a setting that is preventing the following transfers:

Set 4000 at Site A calls set 6001 at Site B via private network.
Set 6001 forwards call to ACDN extension 6000.
ACDN extension 6000 transfers to 8000.

Thanks!

Is the Voice Mail system at a different location than the users telephone? If so, I'd be looking at the Route Data Blocks (such as NEDC, FEDC) that link the sites together. Also if Steering Codes are used, then look at the Route List's FRLs

The voicemail system is locate at the same site. Does this change your response/suggestions?

Ya, it rules out those ideas for the most part.

I'd try TelecomNemo's idea of making 6000 a "CDN" rather than an ACDN. I'm not sure why that would matter, but it sounds like a good thing to try.

I outed acdn 6000. I then tried to create cdn 6000. When I tried to set DFDN to 6000 I got sch5299. When I tried to set DFDN to 8000 I got sch5300.

What am I doing wrong?

I just tried creating a phantom TN. I used type 500 when building the TN. I never saw a prompt for DCFW. I looked in the 4.5 I/O manual and saw lots of references to DCFW for digital sets. I thought phantom TN are built using type 500, am I missing something?

Thanks for your continued support GHTROUT!

When you build a Phantom TN, you'll be working in LD10:

TYPE 500
DN 6000
FTR DCFW 4 8000

This assumes you are replacing the queue you showed us in your post from [1 Jul 08 16:23]

Wow, it's working. Not sure why it likes the phantom over the acd...
