Has anyone ever programmed the DMS-100 to send out dial tone via DTCI? or, has anyone programmed the DMS-100 to interface into an IPMUX (it connect to distant IPMUX via fiber) and come out the other end's port DIALTONE?
We're basically trying to use a fiber strand instead of 4 copper leased cables.
Thanks for your time,
John Crisostomo

Concerning the DTCI part of the question, are you looking to have dialtone provided on an ISDN circuit or are you looking to use inband signalling on a card/processor configured to support ISDN service? [ponder]

Thanks for the replies.
I'm actually ready to start all over with a new trunk type and all. I'm using the DTCI because it was already installed when I got here, so I figured I would keep trying using this trunk. Well, I'll try a whole new type of trunk ie. DTC or LTC. So, if anyone knows how it should be set up, I would really appreciate your advise.
- lopes1211- The leased lines are just dry pairs that I'm sending dial tone through (POTS).

Out of the distant end IPMUX...I'm trying to get dialtone to come out so it's transparent to the M-1 PBX switch.

Thanks again for the replies,
Jc

If you want to go with a standard T1 with inband signalling and dialtone, you would want to use either a DTC or an SPM. All of the ISDN circuits I've worked on as a C.O. tech, the CPE provides the dialtone.
