Hi

Have installed DMC DECT manager software on my pc running Win 7. Installation is ok, but I got the message "unable to connect to server, please ensure it is running" when launcing the program

Is this a known problem? There is no earlier installation of eg TM on this pc

Regards

Hi,

Uninstall the DECT manager, uninstall everything related to Java and re-install the DECT manager.

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...

I found this below.

OTM 2.2 installed on a laptop running Windows XP used to administer DECT
Attempt to open DECT window when connected to the DMC - get 'unable to connect to server, please ensure server is running'

Problem proved to be something to do with Check Point Integrity Flex.
Uninstalled iFlex client and installed the latest version and then all was OK

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Hope it isn't tolate .
That is an old problem.
Use this steps first :

Enter registry HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NorMat\SMP\OTMServices\DECT\Args
Copy the vaue key of args
start command prompt of windows
enter java and paste value and press enter
wait until the screen shows " DECT Manager Server is ready"
Then starts Dectmanager .
And never starts an Update of java

Hi

Thanks a lot, all of you :)

I will try this

By the way:

How is the most proper way to retreieve the dmc configuration from the switch?
Using the TM, there is a choice to retrieve OTM config in the subscribtion window, it filled the empty fields with DN, index etc
Is there a way to do a similar retreival, or do I have to list the config, and fill every thing manually?

Hi,

There should be an Element Manager report template in he DECT Manager Installation folder that you must import in the Element Manager.

Create the report in Element Manager save the results and import the CSV in the DECT manager.
