I have a DMC8 card which I am trying to communicate with via serial cable. (I do not know the IP address of the card as it has been changed). I have checked that Jumpers J6-J9 are set to v.24. I have cross-connected my serial lead to the krone strip

I have followed GHTrout's procedure but cannot get this to work.

Created new modem connection 38400 - 8 - N - 1
Created new Dial-up connection to use this modem (all as per the procedure).

I get repeated PPP error 721 (remote computer did not respond).

If anyone has successfully done this could you please explain how you did it?

From what I remember, you need to use Dect Manager within OTM to access the card via a comm port, once the wiring from the krone strip has been done.

I have a small guide on it, but it could be the same that you have seen?.

If it's working, then leave it alone!.

Thanks for the reply. Yes that is the guide I have been using.

The wiring appears to be correct. I get messages to say

Local modem connection established
Remote modem connection established

Remote PPP peer is not responding

Have you restarted the card. You need to restart the card and then you have 10 minutes after the card has restarted to connect to the unit via the default password of Arsenal.

Thanks,
Colin

Yes I've tried re-seating the card. I'm trying to do this from an XP machine and not Windows 2000, I'm assuming this should be ok?
