hi I have a problem with the components registry of the iis, when i want to change the version of the component it doesn´t work, when i use the command

regsvr32 /u mycomp.dll

I get a message of ´succesful unregistry´ but when I try to overwrite the component I get an error message
and the component is still active even though I have already unregistered it.
This only happens ocasionally can somebody help me?

Well, it appears that the dll is still in use, which is why you cannot replace it. If this was used in association with Transaction Server, for instance, you would shut down the components, unregister the dll, replace the dll, then re-register it. Make sure the application that calls the dll is not in use when you try to replace it.

i follow the process that u describe, but anyway i can´t overwrite the file.
i stop the iis services, unregister the dll...

i don`t know which services use the dll, i stop the internet information service.
