I'm using a Dlink DI-604 router and bulletproof ftp server version 2.21.

My users can connect with passive mode and dl files but when they try to ul it says access denied.
Im running the ftp on port 5150 and have opened 5149 and 5150 on my router. Also I've opened up a range of ports for passv mode on my router as well. I have the appropriate rights in bulletproof for users to write to my upload dir. If they don't use passive mode then they can ul. I've setup everything in bulletproof I think for passive mode. Any help would be nice.

Thanks

I am assuming the host is Win2k or XP.

You have the correct permissions in your bulletproof server for the upload, but you also have to tell Windows and your filestore to permit the upload.

Right-click the folder, Security, and add "Everyone" with rights to the folder.

You might also have to adjust through group policy the rights to "logon as a service".

Why the difference between PASV and PORT mode? It is the service aspect of the connection. This explanation may help:

yah the host is xp. ok I will try that.
