We have a Merlin Magix that we would like to forward the DLC operator to different extensions while the main receptionist is out. Forwarding seems to activate OK and the display says calls are being forwarded to the proper extension but the extension never rings. Ringing continues at the DLC. Any help would be appreciated.

go to the station you are forwarding to and make sure its the correct ext. number. If you forward to a station without a set it just keeps ringing on DLC.

To forward a phone that is ringing in on CO trunks, set the Principal Owner of the lines in question to the DLC.

Thanks folks, I will give these a try in the morning.

I went in and tried to set the PrincipalUser but it wouldn't take it. The DLC is extn 700 and it didn't seem to like that. Could the problem be the fact that we have a T1?

are the calls being answer by a attendant first

How are the calls getting to the Operator? DNIS, Ground Start, or Loop Start lines?

Pepperz@charter.net

We have a fractional T1 provisioned with 12 lines.

Also, the calls go to AA first then if someone zero's out they go to the operator at extn. 700.

When they zero out , the calls are going to the call ans. operator ( 768 ), change your voice mail for timeout or 0 ,to the third option to an extension , make that station 700
