Distribution Point "Install Retrying" and failing

Packages will no longer send to distribution points (DPs) - I don't know when it quit working, thereby I don't know what we changed (if anything)! I noticed it when sending a package and all clients pulled from the same server. The DPs are just regular old file servers without SMS loaded on them. When I try to push something to the DP, the package status is 'Installed' on the main server, but status is 'Install Retrying' on all the rest.
The status for component SMS_DISTRIBUTION_MANAGER is Message ID 2302: SMS Distribution Manager failed to process package "package name" (package ID) - Solution: Review the previous status messages for further clarification about this problem.
There are no previous status messages to look at - they all say the same thing.
Anyone have any ideas what I might try to get the DPs working again?

I order for all the communication to take place under advanced security, we needed to have the primary SMS server's AD computer account added to the local administrators group on all the site system servers. Once we did that, all was well!

Probably won't give myself a star, but I feel like it after finally figuring this one out - and I still have some hair left!
